I was happy to find the web site and would enjoy hearing about everyone. I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my wife and son. I graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and spent lots of years in corporate public relations. About 10 years ago, I joined my wife, Una, who is headmistress of the Episcopal school here. I am development officer. We celebrated our 41st anniversary in August. I keep in touch with my cousin, Brian Maple, and now and then I hear from Gary and Jackie Irish, but other than that I haven't heard from anyone in a good many years. Does anyone know what ever became of John Smith who taught speech and drama at Chu Hi? It has been almost 25 years since I last was in California. I am sure there hqve been many changes. Would like hearing from any of my "old" classmates!

For those of you who may not know...Judy passed away this week due to brain cancer. Her services will be held Monday. Should you wish to send a card to her family, you can reach them through her daughter, Tina Puente, 235 Shirley Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
She kept her sense of humor to the end, even joking about it taking oncoming death to finally clean out her closets. She was at peace and ready to join her husband Robert who died four or five years ago.
Hope all is well in your world and you are enjoying good health. Looking forward to seeing you at this year's reunion.

My name is Brigitte Donahue. I am Nancy (Olson) Donahue's daughter and I have some bad news to share with you all.
My Mom was killed in a tragic car accident Tuesday morning May 16th. She was travelling to Hemet to move her ailing Grandfather to a skilled nursing facility when a car on the other side of the highway lost control of his car, went across a 70ft median and hit her head on. There was no way she could have anticpated this car was going to hit her as it was travelling over 85 mph nor was there anywhere for her to go to avoid the impact.
I hope that you have contact with each other as well as any other friends of hers that may not be included on the email from William and Colleen Harpst sent Dec 2003 that had pictures of all of you from the reunion. If you know of anyone that I have missed or should contact please email me at my sister's email address or call her home 949-589-1224.

Jerry had another stroke on Nov 20, but is doing good now. Mobility in his leg in increasing every day, and his speech his slowly coming along. Phone calls are very very welcomed, it makes him want to talk more. That's about it.

Hello there it's CoraFaye on behalf of my dad. He is doing really well and fighting a very good fight. Dad is now walking with assistance and in the process of getting an electric wheelchair for those long distances. His strength is returning and so are his spirits. In September dad went on his second cruise trip to Alaska and had a good time. Then in December he went to Florida and visited the Space Center as well as Disney World. ...he is doing better. In April, 2007, Chloe Mueller sent me this update: Jerry is unable to talk, but he has no problem listening. The kids or Rosalie just hold the phone up for him. He can make sounds and loves to hear from anyone that has the patience and the understanding of a stroke victim.

It is with heavy heart that I tell you that our Linda passed away last week. She had finished her third chemo treatment for breast cancer the week before and last week had a blockage in her intestines. She went into surgery to correct this and died on the table. I not quite sure of all the details because I was so shocked when Jean called me with the news. I had talked to Linda just before she went in for her last treatment, so it is really hard to believe that I won't be able to talk to or see her again. This is a great loss for me to lose a friend like Linda, but for her beautiful family, tragic................There will just be a private family service.
Please let others who knew Linda know this sad news. Thanks.. Carolyn

Hi Bruce, and other classmates of good ole CVHS! I went to F St and
Rosebank Elementary Schools from 1950, attended CVJrHS and then on to CVHS.
I used to hang around with Marlene Huckell and Karen Chaboudy in elementary
school, and Pat Creed and Bobbie Bright in Jr High and HS. Also Margie
Eaton, and some other wonderful people whose names I have forgotten. Bruce,
I believe you were at F St Elementary School at the same time I was. My
father was transferred (Navy) to Illinois at the end of my sophomore year at
CVHS, and I eventually lost touch with every one. I graduated from Antioch
High School, in Antioch, Illinois in 1958. My heart has always been in
Chula Vista and I visited this past summer for the first time since March
1956!!! Brought my 40 year old daughter with me! I plan to return again in
about a year. Would love to reconnect with some of the wonderful people
from CV.
